High potential and gifted education
Our centre offers outdoor learning programs for students of all ages who are gifted or show high potential.
These programs are linked to the NSW curriculum. They are designed to stretch and challenge students with strengths in thinking, creativity, leadership or physical skills.
What we offer
Camden Park Environmental Education Centre (CPEEC) is dedicated to promoting equitable access to high potential and gifted education (HPGE) for all students, irrespective of their background or geographic location. Our curriculum-aligned excursions and incursions are designed to facilitate the identification and development of student potential across multiple domains.
CPEEC offers a comprehensive range of programs addressing the four key domains of potential: creative, intellectual, physical, and social-emotional. These programs are thoughtfully designed to engage and challenge every student, with a particular emphasis on talent development and the identification of gifted learners.
Our offerings aim to support and extend the learning experiences of high potential and gifted students. In alignment with our commitment to recognising and fostering individual student strengths, CPEEC has developed a Student Identification Tool to assist visiting educators in initiating informed discussions about their students’ unique capabilities.
We encourage all visiting teachers to download and familiarise themselves with the Student Identification Tool prior to their visit to Camden Park Environmental Education Centre.
